Understanding WebMon Communications

WebMon sends various types of communications to keep you informed. Here's what to expect.

Alert Notifications

These are triggered by your monitors and respect your Alert Settings:

  • Website down/up alerts
  • SSL certificate expiry warnings
  • Performance threshold alerts
  • Security threat detections

You can customize these in Profile > Alert Settings.

System Notifications

Automatic emails about your account:

  • Welcome email when you join
  • Password reset requests
  • Email change verifications
  • Plan expiry reminders
  • Bug report updates

Product Updates

Occasional emails about WebMon:

  • New feature announcements
  • Beta updates (if subscribed)
  • Important service notices
  • Maintenance notifications

In-App Notifications

The notification bell shows:

  • Security alerts
  • Bug report activity
  • Plan changes
  • Domain warnings

These appear in real-time without needing email.

Managing Communications

Alert Emails

Configure in Profile > Alert Settings:

  • Enable/disable email alerts
  • Set which events trigger alerts
  • Configure alert cooldown periods

Push Notifications

Enable in Alert Settings to receive browser notifications even when WebMon is closed.

Telegram

Set up Telegram alerts for instant mobile notifications.

Best Practices

  • Keep email alerts enabled for critical issues
  • Use push notifications for real-time awareness
  • Check the notification center daily
  • Configure appropriate alert thresholds to avoid spam

Unsubscribing

You cannot unsubscribe from critical account emails (security, password reset), but you can:

  • Disable optional alert channels
  • Adjust alert thresholds
  • Configure cooldown periods
