The "Last Checked" time shows when your monitor was last tested. Here is what different statuses mean:
Never Checked
- Brand new monitor that has not run yet
- Monitor is paused (is_active = false)
- System has not processed this monitor yet
- Wait a few minutes for first check to complete
Old Timestamp (Not Updating)
- Monitor may be paused - check if it is active
- Check interval may be set very high (30-60 minutes)
- System queue may be backed up during high load
- Monitor may have been recently edited
Recent Timestamp
- Monitor is running normally
- Timestamp updates based on check interval
- Normal operation - no action needed
Why Times May Vary
Check Intervals
- 1 minute: Updates every minute
- 5 minutes: Updates every 5 minutes
- 15 minutes: May appear "old" but is normal
- 60 minutes: Will show timestamps up to an hour old
System Behavior
- Checks run based on your interval setting
- Queue processes monitors in order
- High system load may cause slight delays
- Inactive monitors are not checked
Troubleshooting Steps
1. Verify Monitor is Active
- Go to monitor edit page
- Ensure "Active" toggle is ON
- Save if you made changes
2. Check Your Interval
- Review check interval setting
- Lower interval = more frequent checks
- Higher interval = less frequent checks
3. Use "Check Now" Button
- Forces immediate check
- Bypasses normal schedule
- Updates "Last Checked" time
- Useful for testing
4. Monitor Just Created
- Allow 1-2 minutes for first check
- System needs to process new monitor
- Refresh page to see updates
5. Recently Edited
- Editing may reset check schedule
- Wait one full interval period
- Should resume normal checking
What is Normal
For 1-Minute Interval
- Last checked: 0-2 minutes ago
- Any older may indicate issue
For 5-Minute Interval
- Last checked: 0-6 minutes ago
- Slight variation is normal
For 15-Minute Interval
- Last checked: 0-16 minutes ago
- May seem "old" but is working
For 60-Minute Interval
- Last checked: 0-65 minutes ago
- Hour-old timestamps are expected
When to Be Concerned
Red Flags
- Active monitor showing "Never"
- No checks for 2x your interval period
- Other monitors updating but not this one
- Monitor status is "Unknown"
If You See Issues
- Try "Check Now" button
- Verify monitor is active
- Check system status page
- Review monitor settings
- Contact support if problem persists
Understanding Queue System
- Monitors are checked in scheduled order
- Each monitor waits for its turn
- Your interval determines priority
- System processes thousands of checks
- Slight delays are normal during peak hours
