Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

9 views Updated 2 days ago

Two-Factor Authentication adds an extra layer of security by requiring a code from your authenticator app when logging in.

Setting Up 2FA

  1. Go to your Dashboard
  2. Click "Two-Factor Authentication"
  3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.)
  4. Enter the 6-digit code to verify
  5. Save your backup codes in a safe place

Using 2FA

After enabling 2FA, you'll need to:

  1. Enter your email and password as usual
  2. Open your authenticator app
  3. Enter the current 6-digit code
  4. Access your account

Backup Codes

When you enable 2FA, you receive backup codes. These can be used if you lose access to your authenticator app:

  • Each code can only be used once
  • Store them securely (password manager, printed copy, etc.)
  • You can regenerate codes from your 2FA settings

Disabling 2FA

If you need to disable 2FA:

  1. Go to Dashboard > Two-Factor Authentication
  2. Click "Disable 2FA"
  3. Confirm with your password
