Push notifications allow you to receive WebMon alerts directly in your browser, even when you're not on the WebMon website.
What Are Push Notifications?
Push notifications are messages that pop up on your device even when your browser is closed. They're delivered through your browser's notification system.

Browser Support
Push notifications work in modern browsers including:
- Google Chrome (desktop and Android)
- Microsoft Edge
- Firefox
- Safari (macOS)
- Opera
Note: iOS Safari has limited push notification support.
Enabling Push Notifications
Step 1: Go to Alert Settings
- Navigate to your Profile
- Click on "Alert Settings"
- Find the "Push Notifications" section
Step 2: Enable Notifications
- Click the toggle to enable push notifications
- Your browser will ask for permission - click "Allow"
- The toggle will turn blue when enabled
Step 3: Test It
Once enabled, push notifications will be sent for the same events as your email alerts.
Managing Permissions
If you accidentally blocked notifications:
Chrome
- Click the lock icon in the address bar
- Find "Notifications" in the dropdown
- Change from "Block" to "Allow"
Firefox
- Click the lock icon in the address bar
- Click "Connection secure"
- Click "More information"
- Go to Permissions tab
- Find Notifications and allow
Disabling Push Notifications
To stop receiving push notifications:
- Go to Alert Settings
- Toggle off "Push Notifications"
- Your browser subscription will be removed
Troubleshooting
Not Receiving Notifications?
- Ensure browser notifications are allowed
- Check that "Do Not Disturb" is off on your device
- Verify the push toggle is enabled in Alert Settings
- Try disabling and re-enabling push notifications
Notifications Not Showing?
- Some browsers require the browser to be running (even minimized)
- Check your system notification settings
- Ensure WebMon has notification permission
Privacy
- Push subscriptions are stored securely
- Only you receive notifications for your account
- Unsubscribing removes all stored subscription data
